the other day i was staring into space & the girl i liked was walking by & she was looking at me while i was staring into space. then later i was staring at the wall & when i looked over i see her looking at me & smiling while she had her hands on her head. then the next day i heard her saying “i don’t know why he looks at me”?

I moved the thread under family life, I think that’s were most relationship threads reside.

Regarding your post, relationships are far to complex and nuanced to interpret the truth from what you’ve posted.

Maybe you do stare at her a lot, without realizing it, and her comment is taken at face value.

Maybe you stare at the wall in her vicinity, so she assumes you are staring at her. If you feel the need to stare at nothing, pick an art object or stare out a window, so people won’t misread your action.

Maybe she likes you, or doesn’t like you. You’ll need to look her in the eyes and start a conversation to find out.

Yes, if you are able to notice her looking at you and smiling when you stare at nothing, I expect it looks like you are staring at her.
 
yeah but i guess she has a boyfriend now because the other day when i went out with my friends at the store she was there & i guess she saw me & was talking about me to her boyfriend because when i looked over i saw her boyfriend looking at me but then he looked away. but now whenever her boyfriend see me around somewhere he just laughs at me. idk why i guess she was talking bad about me or something.

Regardless of the boyfriend, what you can do is apologize if it seemed you have been staring at her. Explain you couldn’t help it. You find her attractive. Something like, “Sorry, if it seeemd like I was staring at you. I didn’t think I was but maybe so. You are very pretty. I didn’t mean to annoy you out. My name is Kian.”

What do you know about her? Ask a few questions related to her interests or classes. Don’t let the “boyfriend” intimidate you. He is probabaly not the first nor last. Just be honest, calm and matter of fact. Perhaps you will make a new friend. Start with friendship and don’t get all intoxicated with romantic thinking. You are not in love because you do not yet even know her. How old are you?

yeah but idk whenever her boyfriend sees me around somewhere he just laughs at me idk i guess she told him stuff & maybe that’s why he’s doing that?
 
Perhaps his laugh betrays his insecurity. Try not to let it bother you.
It definitely betrays his immaturity.
