Do you have a crucifix above your bed

I sure do! It is really dear to me–made of olive wood from Jerusalem and at the base it contains a little of the soil from the Holy Land.🙂
 
Yes, a hand carved one from Guatemala that is 18 inches tall. I love knowing that it is above my head as I sleep. I try to meditate on being at the foot of the cross if I am troubled about something and it comforts me. Also there is one on the opposite wall that I can see.
 
Yes, it is a beautiful all metal one, I think it might be bronze. I am very happy with it.

I don’t know but in all the Catholic houses I have ever been in there are almost always crucifixes in each room, most often above the beds. 😛
 
I have a standing crucifix on my nightstand and one that I hold while sleeping.
 
Our crucifix is above our bed just to the right were I sleep, so when I mediated to Jesus all I have to do is turn my head to the right and look up. We also hav six other crucifix threw out our place,and one of them is above on the wall behind me were I sit,in the living room.
 
Same with me, I had on until my bed changed, but no its above my piano, and then I have another one on my prayer table 😃
 
Not a crucifix, but I have an bookcase-style headboard on my bed, and have statues of the Holy Family on it. On my dresser is a very pretty statue of the Infant of Prague.
 
Yes. I also have a standing crucifix on the bookcase on my side of the bed.

Same here, I have a very large Rosary from the Vatican over the bed though. My sister happened to come over this last weekend and we all went to Mass together, however she happened to look at the bedroom for a reason I can’t remember, anyway she asked if I wasn’t getting a bit carried away.

Don’t believe so. 😉 In fact I am more at ease with my spiritual life than ever before.
 
Not a crucifix, but a cross with the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit on it.
 
Yes. In fact, I have a cross of one sort or another in every room of my house.
 
I collect ethnic Christian art (I think that how various cultures represent the Gospel stories is fascinating). This includes 90 crucifixes/crosses from around the world. Most are hung en masse in my living room, but I have one my mother brought me Saint Catherine’s monastery in the Sinai hanging over my bed.

Because my friends know I collect such things, they often are kind enough to give me the same type of item as a gift…with mixed results (I don’t collect just ANY crucifix, but they’ll give me one that is mass produced, usually in China for the American market, for example). Years ago, a friend gave me a large crucifix (traditional European, of which I have several) in which Our Lord’s image is made out of some green material that glows in the dark. I opened it and thought, “Oh…um…wow!” and tried to think of some place I could put it where it would be there for her to see, but not in the collection. I ending up telling her that it meant so much to me that I hung it in my bedroom and used it for my private devotions.

Odd thing is…I DO use it for my private devotions. It hangs OPPOSITE of my bed and I can clearly see it when I wake in the night (at nearly 50, I wake at least twice in the night), glowing in the darkness. It is very comforting and helps me to remember that He is there. It’s not great art, but it’s a great consolation, for which I am now grateful…my Blessed Lord Who glows in the dark.
