A few of the Maronite priests I’ve met, which is not very many, I don’t think I’ve met a single Lebanese one.

Wow, Louisiana sounds a lot like South Carolina

New Hampshire is better.

We got a foot of snow and a blizzard outside right now

Cold?

The feels like temp with wind chill right now is -2 degrees F.

I go outside in shorts and a t shirt if its 30 degrees F.

Only Philippine priests have been at this parish for last 5 ish years. The current was installed as the permanent priest for the parish. Holy joyful priest!

The official word is that he had to comply with the archbishop’s grooming policy for priests. The rumblings in the congregation was that he was getting more attention than the pastor!

That’s very sad.

I wish more priests in the Roman Rite would adopt the Eastern custom of growing a beard.

Our wind chill for the last week or so has been around -25 degrees C, or -13 degrees F with a foot or so of snow. No one even looks sideways when we all still show up in skirts, nylons, and heels. #canadianwinter 😁

I’m in New Hampshire, we share a northern border with Canada.

It’s dropping to -25 F wind chill temp tonight!

And we gotta foot of snow Thursday, there’s about 2 feet on the ground.

I’m in Atlantic Canada, so pretty close to NH. Just spent a day in the dark from the last storm. I’ll be glad when this cold snap is over.

Perhaps, but I have been to an Eastern Rite Mass and to some celebrations at Eastern Rite churches. The priests I saw didn’t look anything like the common image of Jesus. Some of them look more like that guy in the Dos Equis beer commercials.
