Do you have any info on Dr. Thomas F. Madden?

Do you know anything about Professor Thomas F. Madden, history professor at St. Louis University. I recently was given a copy of his lecture series, One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic - A History of the Church in the Middle Ages, and before I spend any time listening to it, I would like to know whether his views on the Church are orthodox. Thanks for your help.
