REALLY“Furthermore, it is taught that we cannot obtain forgiveness of sin and righteousness before God through our merit, work, or satisfactions, but that we receive forgiveness of sin and become righteous before God out of grace for Christ’s sake through faith when we believe that Christ has suffered for us and that for his sake our sin is forgiven and righteousness and eternal life are given to us. For God will regard and reckon this faith as righteousness in his sight, as St. Paul says in Romans 3:21-26] and 4:5]” (Book of Concord, 38:1-40:3).
So tell me friend what this means?
John 20: [21] He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you. [22] When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost. [23] Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.
And YES I know what Matt thew Henry’s commentary says on the subject. It is TOTALLY subjective driven by a absolute need in to BE different; easier; ;ess complex and LESS demanding than Catholicism.in ordr to establish faith belief God -competiting churches.
God Bless and GUIDE you my friend
