Do you know of any Catholic fiction?

I am searching for light, modern Catholic fiction to read. I have also written a couple of books and would like to find suitable publishers to query but can’t find anything similar to what I have written. Has anybody read good Catholic Christian fiction? There is a plethora of non-Catholic Christian fiction available. Where is ours?

Unfortunately, “Christian” fiction these days means Evangelical Protestant fiction. Although there has been some modern Catholic fiction published, it is usually heavy, ponderous reading and not what we’d call “beach reading.” I have not found, at least not readily-available in standard book format, the kind of light fiction you asked about. I encourage you to keep querying the Catholic publishers until they realize that there is a viable market for good Catholic fiction and seek to fill it.

In the meantime, there still is good secular popular fiction out there if you’re willing to sift out the chaff.
