I came upon my baptismal certificate yesterday and was wondering how many people actually recall this most important day of their life when they became adopted children of God? Maybe we should be celebrating the anniversaries of our baptisms rather than our birthdays. What do you think? My baptism was March 29, nine days after my birth, what’s yours?:hmmm:

We had a thread about this a little while ago, but it does no harm to start another one on the topic since it seems to be so encouraging to our newbies. 😃

I was born in St. Paul MN on Sept. 3, 19__ and baptized on Oct. 31, 19__ (same year) in Selma AL. My poor mother! :whacky:

Born the night of Feb 10th, baptised a few hours later but on the following day, Feb 11th. I was premature and my parents were worried about my survival.

I was baptised April 14, 2001. It was great! Since I was an adult, I am able to remember it, although I wish I could remember more of it. It was Easter vigil and I was very happy.

I think Baptism Day would make a second great personal holiday, like a birthday.

April 19th, 2003- exactly 2 years later, Pope Benedict XVI was chosen to be Pope.

Born May 29th, 1963 - baptized June 30th, 1963. One month later.

(I only found out about it last year when I had to get a copy of my baptismal certificate)

I was born, November 7th, 1963.

I am not sure of the date that i was baptised, but i know of an event that would be memorable to it.

I was baptised the day John F. Kennedy was burried. (aprox. 1 month old)

Born in the flesh September 16, 1975

Reborn of the Spirit September 24, 1975 (same day as my grandmother’s birthday)

My 1st born daughter was Baptized December 28th (Feast of the Holy Innocence)
My 2nd born daughter was baptized April 18th (Divine Mercy Sunday)

I am looking forward to celebrating my 2nd daughters baptismal anniversary :bounce: :dancing:!

April 6, 1986. I was almost 3…my older brother and sister and I were all baptized on the same day.

My baptism was April 20, 1975; 13 days after being born. Celebrate our baptisms instead of our birthdays I think not, our birthdays are special days too, but I definitely think we should celebrate both. 🙂

No idea. My parents might know.

And why does Lorrie speak like Yoda? (-:

Yep got my extract certificate and all. The original is somewhere in England as I was baptised in Kuala Lumpur 1959.

I actually needed to locate this for the 3rd order I am a member of
