Guess I am lucky, because except when a TV is on in waiting rooms, lobbies, etc. I’ve not had any television “forced down” my throat.

Back in my day, we kids used to make up songs to parody Barney.

:notes:Joy to the world that Barney’s dead!
We’ve barbecued his head.
What happened to his body?
We flushed it down the potty.
And round and round it goes.
And round and round it goes.🎶

The cartoon “Animaniacs” featured an episode the parodied Barney, “Boloney and Kids”. It was pretty funny

The Simpsons did that too…“2+2 is 4, 2+2 is 4”…lol…

To answer the OP though, We don’t watch Barney but I do miss some of the old PBS shows, like Ghostwriter and Puzzle place. the only shows I like now are Wild Kratts, Martha Speaks and Arthur (sans the trendy gay episode).

Edit…I had to post it lol!

I put down the tamer one I’ve heard so that I wouldn’t get banned.

This reminds me: someone once mistook the Pokémon in my avatar as a purple dinosaur. Now, I’ve been called many things on CAF, but to be placed in the same ballpark as Barney really crossed the line.

Yes and no.

Really, I miss the PBS days when Mr Rogers was still alive and had his show

What do you mean by “right people” and “right thinking person?”

If you mean political spectrum, I know plenty of people on the left & right who didn’t like Barney…

Another one we had back in my day involved Barney giving people HIV.

Hahaha! 🤣

I remember that Barney parody! Man it has been YEARS since I thought of that! Haha!

Side note: In third grade sister used to play episodes of Barney if they corresponded with her lesson or if we earned a class “prize”… 😐
