flavored cream cheese ! :bigyikes:

HERETIC !!!
“He who likes flavored cream cheese, let him be anathema.”
-Anti-Pope Swerve (2013) :highprayer:

Anyway, on the topic of altar breads, I’ve had crunchier ones, which I assume are whole wheat, and fast dissolving ones, which I assume are whites. They both have their pros and cons. I just hope that I don’t go to parishes that uses 🍕 or 🍰 as their altar bread.

“Don’t call me a flaming liberal just cause I use pizza, cake, and grape soda for consecration.”
-Anti-Pope Swerve (2013):highprayer:

“We personally make the pizzas, cakes, and grape sodas for Anti-Pope Swerve to use for consecration.”
-Mother Swag (2013):nun1:

“I love to make pizzas, cakes, and grape sodas with Mother Swag so the Anti-Pope can use them for Mass.”
-Sister Spirit of Vatican II (2013):nun2:

Now, about altar wine… I’ve had times when I received the Blood of Christ and afterwards, thinking, “Jesus, you taste good today.” I wonder if the Precious Blood is developing my taste in wine.

I’ve seen several posters mention they prefer white hosts because they dissolve easily; aren’t hosts suppose to be chewed . Didn’t Christ give the directive to gnaw on his flesh? And I thought the host common to the post-conciliar Latin Church was larger for the purpose of encouraging people to chew it as opposed to just letting it melt and then be swallowed.
Many Roman Rite adherents were wrongly taught that it was sinful to “chew Jesus”… Well meaning Nuns spread lies in their ignorance. It’s become a bit of a Roman Rite urban legend.

THe theologians never explicated the gospel that way…

Maybe it was explained that way to some. But I understood it as reflecting on the Real Presence for as long as possible, or something along those lines. Hard to reflect on something already swallowed. Chewing of course hastens the process of swallowing.

That was in the U.K. however, before I heard it differently from Sister Everythings-A-Mortal-Sin.

Incidently, I had to think about it but I decided on the white host, as it reminds me of the opłatek, something all those of direct Polish descent are probably familiar with. 🙂
