I read the Scriptures almost daily as I like to meditate & further reflect on the Mass readings for the day.
I am blessed to live in the Twin Cities (Mpls./St. Paul) area, and we are increasingly surrounded by great Catholic Scripture Studies, with very orthodox materials.I was just wondering how many of us read the Bible, if at all and basically under what circumstances.
Peace and all good,

I have a similar experience to Lonevoice. I feel an overwhelming sense of calm when I am engaged in daily Bible reading, and my stress level is almost non-existent. It is crazy how quickly stress starts to creep back into my life if I even miss a couple of days of reading. Now, through the intercession of our Lady and the grace of God, Iāve gotten into the daily scripture and Rosary, and am amazed at how many of the things that have bothered me in the past, the problems and trials are as if they are no longer there.
(This wasnāt meant to brag, but to celebrate!)
Ascension Press has some wonderful aids for Bible reading. I highly recommend them. Jeff Cavins is one of the owners and Publishers so the materials are outstanding.I was wondering if anyone could point me to a good Catholic companion to reading the bible? I am just a beginner and I could use some help. Thanks.
Ignorance of the Bible is ignorance of Christ- Saint Jerome.I was just wondering how many of us read the Bible, if at all and basically under what circumstances.
