Do you read your Holy Bible daily?

Well, I am starting to read the Holy Bible daily and I am very hyped to read all of the New Testament! I’ve discovered so much about God. I mean, I’ve known much about God from Church teachings, but to actually read Word for Word what God has said it is awesome! I have learned so many new facts and verses. God is Love!

So, do you read your Holy Bible daily?
 
I (try to) read the scriptures daily but I don’t usually have an actual Bible in my hands. I have myCatholic.com as one of my homepages on my computer (even at work) and that’s how I read it; it can be set up to have the daily Mass readings as well as the saint of the day and meditations from St. Josemaria Escriva. I even pray the rosary using an app. Having them available via technology helps me be a bit more consistent.

I listen to an audio of the Daily Mass Scripture Readings every day on my way to work, as well as a short sermon on the Readings from the late Fr. Al Lauer of Presentation Ministries. It gets my day off to a great start!🙂

I certainly strive to. Although I prefer reading from an actual Bible, I also utilize an app on my phone.
 
Yep 🙂 It’s easier for me to carry mine around because I’m in school and thus I have a book bag

I also have the Bible app which has Catholic versions.
 
My brother and I are starting to read Genesis, Exodus, Judith, Philemon, and all of the prophetic books, which make the total number of chapters 365! I am off to go and do that now. 🙂
I also did a Gideon Bible reading plan that takes you through the New Testament, the Psalms, and the Proverbs in two years. I am almost at the end of year two, as I will be finished on New Year’s Eve. 😃
 
Yes. Each morning, no matter how tired, I get up around 5am, pre work etc., and read from either the new or old testaments. I get through the entire Bible in roughly a year and repeat once done. I also read in the evenings before bed, but primarily the Psalms and Proverbs.

It’s one of those things I started back maybe 5 years ago. It’s kind of like praying the Rosary now. I make time for it, even if I don’t have time. I truly don’t feel like my day is complete if I don’t do my daily reading. 🙂
 
I read from it daily. I pray Lauds and Vespers in the Divine Office 😃 But yeah, I’ve been meaning to attempt another readthrough, this time WITHOUT the insane 60 day goal. (And I would have made it too, we it not for that meddling start of the school year)

I read using a Read the Bible and the Catechism in a Year devotional from the Coming Home Network.
 
I have worked on some websites for years providing Bible resources, and I have published some Scriptural books and am working on one right now, so I have been doing a lot of reading of Scripture for years. Ever since I have been a Christian I have had that desire to learn the Bible as much as possible. And after all these years I still feel like I have barely scratched the surface!
 
Yes, I read the Bible every day. I am very glad to see that you are reading the Bible, it’s a wonderful practice. If you ever wanna dive in “deeper” so to say with real commentary on some aspect or part of the Bible, you can look into the works of Scott Hahn and Pope Benedict XVI. 👍
 
It comes and goes I suppose. You should be careful to put what you’ve learned from the Bible into action in your daily life. The more you know, the more harshly you will judged after you die. That’s why Angels don’t get second chances when they sin, because they have such immense knowledge of God.
 
I get a lot out of reading a commentary along with the Bible, which is what the Pontifical Biblical Commission recommends in its 1992 guide on the Interpretation of Scripture in the Church.

I am many volumes into the Intervarsity Press series called the Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture. It is in the traditional and ancient catena format - some scripture and then some commentary. There are many relevant excerpts from patristic sources,
 
Not daily, but I do try to make the effort to read more often, before I never read it.
