The Kitchenaide mixers are Great!!! I told my hubby that I really, really wanted one for Christmas. He had several women, including my mom, inform him that getting me something so practical would offend me.

Oh great. The simple fact that some other woman would think this makes a great gift will mean that it probably won’t work for my wife… so much for that idea.:rolleyes:
 
Also NEVER give somehng form Victorias secret-let them pick it out-we men tend to buy things that fit our image of “sexy” but are uncomfortable as heck for them to wear.

Hey as long as you boys are in the need of good gift suggestions. Here’s a good gift idea. Get your wife a new deer rifle, attach a card to it. In the card write:

I was going to give you some lingerie and a copy of Dr. Laura’s Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands but then I saw this rifle…

She’ll be so happy you bought her that rifle…

I’d love it if my hubby bought me a rifle!! Then I could learn how to use one! 😃 Of everything I’ve tried on scorpions, I haven’t tried shootin’ 'em.

Well actually given the love I have for venison in any form except steak, ( ie hamburgers, sausage, slimjims, jerky) a rifle might be on the list of wedding presents. Lol.

I am afraid it she might thnk it is a “DEAR” rifle
 
ok… the question was becos i had a bag gifted to me from my ex and i didnt know if i had reacted well to it… it wasnt my style… i am used to putting too much stuff into my bag so it was always bulging… however i always bought a small one becos i know the bigger it is, the more stuff i will put in it as all you ladies know… anyways i continued to use it even though it was way too big and was uncomfortable… as he gave it to me thinking that i needed a bigger bag… when he asked me whether i liked it i said no but did use it everyday to the office as i loved him and wanted him to think that everything he gave me was precious and good enough for me… but i guess what i said to him undermined all that… that i did not like it…

question for the guys: do you look beyond the words to see that the lady is actually using it to show you that she loves everything that you give her no matter what???

Heck no. If she smiles when she opens it that’s good enough for me. Mission Purchase-A-Gift is a success. No time to linger, move out to the next obstacle.
 
Dear heart,
This is why gift receipts were invented. You thank him for the bag and then go back and get something better suited. If you don’t have a gift receipt, you may have a credit card receipt which will do as well.
But be nice to the guy. He bought you a gift!!! Kisses and hugs might be in order.
