It’ll never happen…the same old argument comes up after each massacre of innocents…how can you reason with people who believe the 2nd amendment is a divine right…if slaughtering 20 innocent school children had no affect on many Americans…nothing will…their hearts have been hardened by Gods judgment…it will only get worse

What really blows my mind is we can’t restrict the 2nd amendment in any way. But many people want to restrict the 1st amendment, make flag burning illegal and are up in arms over NFL players kneeling. Neither of those acts murder people though.

We are arguing for common sense laws, laws that don’t restrict our freedoms. You are arguing for taking away guns, and oppression in the fullest. I have similar affection for my guns. But as they’re mostly semi-autos with enormous destructive potential, I agree they should have been harder for me to get than they were.

The mini14 is a great example of what you’re trying to convey. It doesn’t look like an “evil black gun”, but its just as deadly as any AR under 100m.

No it shouldn’t. If you’re going to take away these weapons, you might as well take away my handguns, and shotguns. Those can do even more damage when used correctly. So can bolt action weapons.

We covered it. Shotty are limited by capacity and range. Bolt actions are limited by speed and, typically, mag size.
Semi-autos with detachable mags have no such limitation.
