Do you tend to attract a "type" of person?

The “type” can be physical appearance, personality, background, experience, interests, etc. For instance, I have found that I tend to attract blondes for some reason; some brunettes also have shown interest in the past, but no luck whatsoever with redheads.

No idea, really. I’ve been with the same man for seventeen years now, since I turned eighteen. Not much experience.

I don’t think hair color has anything to do with attraction. Statistically, there are very few redheads anyway, so anyone could say they didn’t attract redheads. Do you live in an area where there are proportionately more blondes than in other places, are you talking about real blondes or dyed blondes, etc?

I am attracted to fair-hair blondes/redheads.

However…i have been hit on by every race. I came close to dating a Sudaneese man, but we both had personal issues that took our time.
I dated a wasp math tech…a korean artist and a italian med student…among others.

Not one of them have anything but male in common.

My guy is a cute blondie. I dont know if I can “type” him. I do know he’s my price charming…and im his princess.

Preppy “bad girls” for some reason. I’m not sure why though I can sort of see it. I guess there’s a cliche that those types wind up with big dorky guys. Still, for a fat, boy-next-doorish awkward and nerdy guy it’s kind of funny. Once had a girl with a boyfriend try to become my sugga momma senior year of high school.

I’m more drawn to cute types, but for some reason the girls who are adorable on the outside have a nasty case of the prides inside. Hot preppy types, on the other hand, aren’t like that… 🤷 But I don’t like typical beauty, I don’t like sexy. And to make things even funnier, if a girl is right on that line between cute and hot she winds up a friend and nothing more.

So, if they’re out of my league they’re probably my best bet.

I’m definitely drawn to successful men. I dated an architect and an engineer, but I found they have too much pride, perhaps big egos. My fiancé (50 days till the wedding awww) is very successful also, but so in love with Christ and never brags! I feel sometimes ex boyfriends show you what you don’t like so you can easily spot the man your made for! 🙂

First of all, I tend to attract women who later decide they don’t want a relationship with me despite the way things happened before that point. Secondly, I tend to attract ladies several years my senior (2-3, sometimes more), and most of those attracted to me are in fact older than I am. Thirdly, I tend to attract those who complain a lot about their lives, are negative a lot and I’d say need therapy before thinking about relationships. I also have a tendency to gain respect, affection or even admiration without awakening a strong romantic interest.

I don’t believe people’s appearance has much to do with whether they are attracted to you or not. I’m not saying it’s impossible, because certain aspects of physical appearance and of character/personality can be interrelated (causing one another of having a common cause) but it’s very improbable. I’d say if you’ve had more luck with blondes than redheads (or any combination), it’s random and accidental.

Similar.

Yes, I attract and am attracted to men who are unavailable for real intimacy.

😦

I also attract guys who come off really strong at first claim they want a relationship then run when things get more serious. I also seem to attract younger guys even my current guy is like a month an a half younger…lol. People who have complaints about their lives seems to be another sort I attract…maybe because I’m a good listener…I don’t know. I know I’ve always been attracted to blond or dark outgoing guys but those always seem to be the players and I’ve learned to avoid them. My current guy used to be blond but shaves his head nowdays and I’ve never seen him with hair actually but I’ve always been attracted to the Yul Brenner type as well…lol

Yep been there done that too it’s annoying but keep the faith.
Well I am married now so the best I can do is pray that the Holy Spirit grabs hold of my husband and heals his wounds so that maybe he can understand what I need from him. I don’t believe that we are meant to walk away from opportunities to heal childhood wounds, he picked me for his own reasons and if we don’t work on these issues, they would come up all over again if we happened to divorce.

😛

Im attracted to Blondes. As a background, I only seek for Catholic girls (I really want her to have the same faith I have). To me, a Catholic blonde is highly attractive.

Unfortunately, All the girls I have attracted so far are either not blondes, or Catholics…

Praying to God to give me a spouse one day.

I was just using hair color as an example. There’re many other dimensions, some of which I’ve listed in my OP. And to answer your question, I meant real blondes. Well, at least they didn’t seem like the type who would dye their hair.

There is definitely some time travel going on…

You…cradle robber! 😛

In my case, the sample size is small, but if there is a pattern to the women who have been attracted to me, it is that they are the type whom I haven’t any chance of having a successful long-term relationship with. They have all (again: small sample size) been crazy, or just wanting something short-term (if you kwim), or in some kind of transition phase.

My attraction doesn’t seem to follow any pattern. I have often been attracted to women who are not, perhaps, conventionally beautiful, but I just find something about them intriguing. Maybe it is poise, or the way she speaks, I really don’t know. They usually turn out to be married, but I think that’s just a coincidence. 😦

Haha, what a funny question. 😃

Now that I think about it, I realize I’ve never attracted any specific type. It seems like I’ve been asked out by a wider range - bad boy, church boy, white boy, black boy… lol oh the memories. All I can say now it that I’m glad it’s over and I’m happily married. 🙂

I tend to attract controlling, aggressive men. Some on the crazy side. I’m married but even my male friends tend to be controlling with me. Not sure why.

I used to have the same problem but luckily I can’t handle anyone telling me what I can and can’t do so any relationship with dudes of that sort never last long.

Ok, I guess I missed mentioning the type of men who are NOT attracted to me… and these would be it. I have too much of a stubborn personality for these types of men.

Without trying to sound vain, I attracted "everyone! Lol. By the time I met my husband i was praying that he will be the ONE guy who won’t ask me out. No such luck 🙂 some people might think that that’s a good problem to have but in reality it is a huge burden. I knew i could never develop real friendships with ANY guy because it was only a matter of time before they’d ask me out. I had a single guy friend who i truly believed felt as paltonically about me as I did about him, only to have him admit his feelings several years later. Needless to say, that friendship was ruined and it was the last close friendship I ever Had with a guy.

I’m so happy I’m married, I finally feel like i no longer have to be on the defence. My husband, my wedding band and my children are the best men repellents 🙂

The only men i felt/ feel safe around were Asians. Never Had one come after me.
