What is God’s mercy compared to human freedom? Debate encouraged.
Yes I know this, but who determines what is grave suffering?? It seems the Church follows modern more than common understanding today.Definitely not. Read Catechism #2282, last sentence:
Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide.
Do they indeed? No, since not all suicides have a full understanding of what they are doing, either because of immaturity or because of insanity, or else some combination of the two.
Those who suffer from brain-damage are like the innocent children.I believe also that some indivudals have become brain damaged by something sometimes, perhaps strokes or some other source, so…we entrust them to the loving mercy of God as we don’t know. He does however.
free will allows human to choose. If God created all in the image and likeness of God, why do some some not want to live at all?
Have you ever known someone who committed suicide?Do they indeed?
Yes, but I I’ve committed her to the prayers of the mother of God.Have you ever known someone who committed suicide?
God is eternal and outside time that’s why we can be NOW in Gethsemani and give COMFORT to the sacred Heart of Jesus.Even a suicide may repent, in the time between committing the act and losing awareness. There’s a line I read once, supposed to be from an old song:
“Between the saddle and the ground
He mercy asked, and mercy found.”
Yes.God is eternal and outside time that’s why we can be NOW in Gethsemani and give COMFORT to the sacred Heart of Jesus.
Yes I have. I hope the mother of God will have mercy on her.Have you ever known someone who committed suicide?
No, not at all. I have offered many.Yes I have. I hope the mother of God will have mercy on her.
Is it a sin to have masses offered for a suicide?
It is a good and holy thing to offer prayers for the dead, that God may have mercy on them.Yes I have. I hope the mother of God will have mercy on her.
Is it a sin to have masses offered for a suicide?
Me either, I think its a great idea especially for them.It is a good and holy thing to offer prayers for the dead, that God may have mercy on them.
I see no reason to except suicides from your prayers.
