Do you think this is appropriate attire for Mass?

Oh yesā€¦they also come with long sleeves and differnt neck lines etc.
That is my typical summer wearā€¦love to shock my neighbors:D

Those are so beautiful, and they look very comfortable! I would love to own a few outfits like those. šŸ™‚

None of those things is appropriate to wear to Mass (I thought that the dress was a VEST and was shocked to find it was a dress), but you know, on that day, I bet the Blessed Mother had a bit more on Her mind than did She have on Her best frock and veil. Letā€™s keep some perspective.

Mind you, I have a neice who doesnā€™t seem to understand that sheā€™s been very much, um, ā€œblessed.ā€ I had to tell her that sternums were not intended to be seen by priests distributing Communion.
 
the dress you see here is one of the types of dresses i wear to mass, only with long sleeves, and not short ones. i wear the dress or skirt ankle length, and the site you see here, has long mantillas which i also wear to Mass.

I donā€™t think any of those things are appropriate to wear to Mass. I have one comment about the dress, though, which is that itā€™s often hard for young women (based on personal experience) to find modest clothes to wear. Itā€™s a nightmare for me to find summer clothes that are both age-appropriate (although now that Iā€™m 21, I can wear more ā€œadultā€ clothes as opposed to ā€œteenageā€ clothes) and modest, and which are more dressy than a baggy T-shirt. The fact is that many more dressy outfits are not made modestly, as most teenage girls sadly donā€™t see dressing modestly as a priority šŸ˜¦ . I literally spent weeks trying to find an outfit to wear to a Catholic wedding when I was 16 - it was during the summer and the big trend was off-the-shoulder dresses, which are hard to wear something over because of the a-symmetry of the neckline. Everything I found was either immodest or designed for someone much older than myself. In the end my mom realized that it would take her less time to sew me an appropiate dress to wear than to find one in a store, so she did. I wish society (and clothes designers) was more encouraging of teenagers and young adults dressing modestly, and made more clothes available to facilitate this.
 
My daughters would agree with you ā€œMorning Starā€, designers need to develop fashionable, yet modest clothing for the under 30 set.:yup:
My oldest had the hardest time trying to find modest, belly covering maternity clothes. She had to go to the mall where she lives and purchase them at ā€œMotherhoodā€ a bit expensive but compared to the garbage sold at other stores, she rather wear her husbands shirts and sweats then wear a shirt with her tummy hanging out.
