I will say this, and the conversation is closed: I’m a Sede Vacantist.

Where’s I don’t know option?

We cannot presume to know God’s will, all we can do is try to live a Christian life and hope we did enough.

In any event, St. Therese died in 1897 and was canonized decades before Vatican II, and Fr. O’Sullivan’s book was also written many years before VII since he was born in 1871 and died in 1958, so I am not sure how your being a sede has anything whatsoever to do with my comment. Unless you think you’re going to Purgatory for the sin of sedevacantism, which I doubt.

Wishing to avoid Purgatory and doing spiritual practices in hopes of avoiding it is definitely a pre-Vatican II practice. People were afraid of Purgatory back then, they thought it was a lake of fire.

Yes, purgatory is not going to be fun. I’m just being honest, and a lot of people are denying the truth, but that’s on them.

Yeah, good ol’ St. Therese, Doctor of the Church and major truth denier. Yeah, right.
Time for me to step off this thread. Enjoy Purgatory.

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." 1John5:13

“If I am not in the state of grace, may God put me there; and if I am, may God so keep me.”

St. Joan of Arc! 🙂

I would be presumptuous to think that. And since your poll doesn’t have a “don’t know” option, I’m afraid I can’t respond to it.
