I do – since I discovered it I’ve I’ve used it and turned friends on to it. But I’m rethinking.
On the Media podcast had an episode dedicated to the question “Who’s Gonna Pay for this Stuff?” (i.e. content on the internet) with a segment specifically about ad-blockers.
Now, I’ve been blocking ads for years except for a few favored sites like CA Forums where I actually click on ad or even buy something.
But if I visit other sites that interest me, is seeing ads really a burden?
I subscribe to blogs and news sources the way I used to get magazines and newspapers – I’d never expect them to be ad-free.
So I’m experimenting with browsing AdBlock free. So far the ads are not as obnoxious as I remember them being.
