I always found the Shroud of Turin and Our Lady of Guadalupe to be beautiful and mysterious, but have not venerated these properly. I asked this question because I am curious which images ye Catholics of the Internet venerate and why…

No, I do not.

I always found the venerating to be weird and a bit disordered… but totally get that some people find it comfortable, profitable and good

I venerate the Divine Mercy image and the Sacred Heart of Jesus image, meaning I place them in prominent positions in my home and look to them in prayer. They are reminders of Jesus’s great love. They help me to connect to Him spiritually. They also keep me focused in prayer.

Religious Images in Catholicism are simply visual aids to help raise the mind and heart to heaven and to help focus one in prayer and meditation.

I’m not aware of a general practice of venerating images in the western churches. As noted above the are aids o=not objects.’

In the Eastern Church icons are venerated but they are not images of the saint or event. They are prayers in and of themselves windows between Earth and Heaving and we seek to join that prayer.

While I enjoy reading about icons and images I have no interest in the veneration.

The Christ Pantocrator.
The Theotokos.
The Sacred Heart as Christ the King.

and of course, the Crucifix.
