But is this not the spiritual disposition many excellent souls adopt toward Jesus?
Make rather the admirable response of St. Peter: “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You” (John 21:17). “In spite of appearances, in spite of my coldness and my unworthiness, You know well that I love You. You know it better than I, and I do not want to wait until tomorrow to tell You, because love does not wait.”
