What bible based TV do you watch?

What programs inspire you?

What teachings do you like?

What people do you listen too?

What about Scott hawn?

EWTN!!!

I listen to EWTN radio more than I watch TV though. I love Call to Communion with Dr. Anders. I also like Fr. John Riccardo, Christ is the Answer

Yes. EWTN, but there are a couple shows I don’t care for. Peace.

I do not have the possibility to watch EWTN TV in Norway, but sometimes I listen to the network’s radio channel through my Internet radio.

Scott Hawn is good.
Just a slight correction–the name is spelled Scott Hahn. I don’t mean it to sound snarky, but it’s hard to find things by an author when the name is spelled incorrectly.

I listen to Living Bread Radio in the car, and they have Catholic Answers Live on it, and some EWTN programming. To be truthful, I don’t care much for EWTN, but there are some good and interesting programs. The trouble is, many really good programs are on in the middle of the night in my area, like 3-6 AM. We do have a Catholic TV broadcaster in my area, CTNY, run by the Paulines, but my dish network does not carry it. I used to watch it when I had cable.

The only non-Catholic religion-based channel I watch is the one from Brigham Young University, the Mormons. They don’t have many religious programs, but they have some good history, science and nature, artistic, and human interest programs, none of which are religiously based.

I watch Christian TV, but RARELY catholic TV. EWTN is so boring. Sometimes on the cable guide I will see a title that sounds interesting but it seems like it is always the same 2 bearded guys talking to each other about something every time I tune in. Discussing either an uninteresting topic, or an interesting topic in an uninteresting way. Or a disembodied voice speaking while the TV flashes various religious themed paintings with a “classical music” soundtrack.

There are a few shows I enjoy on TBN, like some show that is a ripoff of Destination Unknown (Travel Channel), where a guy travels around Israel talking about various aspects of scripture in the actual place where it happened. It is pretty interesting and a little exciting. They have a few other one off programs that are pretty interesting.

Sometimes I watch HILLSONG channel just to watch their band perform. They are VERY GOOD.

On my Roku I have a couple channels that revolve around fringy biblical prophesy like Skywatch TV & Prophecy in the News.

yes!!!

i listen to ewtn radio as well as catholic answers live.

Also, I can’t get enough of the talks by Fr Ripperger and Fr Wolfe on the sensum fidelium youtube channel.

music-wise, i enjoy danielle rose, david haas, twila paris, matt maher, audrey assaud amongst others

No cable by choice, so no TV. I subscribed to Sensus Fidelium on YouTube for very orthodox Catholic teaching.

Here is a sample of one of my favorites. This particular one is not a teaching per se…it’s history. I promise you’ll love this 18 minutes. Please LMK what you think.

We have local Catholic TV and EWTN here.

But I mainly listen to EWTN on the radio while working.

John Martignoni on Mondays is my favorite apologist.

I also enjoy hearing Fr. Pacwa on the threshold of hope.

I rarely watch TV. If I am seeking any Catholic programming, I usually look online for videos.

BYUtv or Mormon Channel.

Mostly use laptops or tablets for viewing anything.

This title seems to suggest that catholic TV is not christian.

It reminds me of the old adage…

A priest visiting people in a large hospital, stops at one bed and says to the patient, “Hello are you catholic?”

The patient replies, “No, I am christian”.

The priest replies, “Oh sorry to bother you, I am looking for catholics, not christians.”

I don’t have cable but from what I see EWTN seems a lot like what you say. I do enjoy some of their call in programs. That show you mention sounds like exactly the kind of stuff I wished they had for Catholics. There is so much history, archeology, art, architecture, and philosophy that someone should be able to create some really interesting content. People talking all the time gets boring. And I don’t care much for news even Catholic news. I’m really not all that concerned about what the Holy See of the Holy Father does each day. I try to focus my attention on what is going on directly near me and that I can have some influence on.
