Do you watch shows like the Bachelor?

I have watched some of these shows. Pure garbage. Nothing redeeming about them, other than the fact you can hate watch it.

Not the Bachelor. My guilty pleasure is “90 Day Fiance” or “My big fat Gypsy Wedding.” TLC ftw!
I haven’t seen it in a while, since we don’t have cable or dish, but I loved “90-Day Fiance.” 😀

Yeah, Trump was well known both as a rich guy who owned alot of properties named after him and for various tabloid scandals with Ivana and Marla Maples. I remember as a kid going into the Trump casino hotel in Atlantic City.

When someone has one of those Trash Pickers or Pawn Shop shows on, I just shake my head. How amazing is it that they just happened to stop at a house where the people are mic’d up! Or that a guy would walk into a Pawn Shop wearing a mic?

Agree with that assessment. So, no, never watch any “reality” TV except the Food Network. I will watch that sometimes.

Marla Maples is actually very nice, very religious. She used to live in our neighborhood in LA. She is a sweet person.

I’m glad she is nice, but from what I have read she basically went after him while he was still married, with kids.
Perhaps being married to him and then divorced put some more fear of God into her.

I think he went after her, and she was young and immature and thought money solved all life’s problems.

No I don’t like shows like the Bachelor.
Most reality shows are scripted and I don’t care to waste my time watching shows like that. In fact, I watch very little American tv.

Also I wonder about the sincerity on the contestants because some say they never even went on a ‘single date’ (not as a group) with the Bachelor so if you haven’t been on a date one on one with a guy how can you know that you like/love him?

There’s also the assumption that just because someone is the Bachelor or bachelorette that the contestants will definitely ‘fight it out for them’ and like hem but in reality you would think sometimes a contestant wouldn’t be attracted or think they are compatible?
I have more respect for the rare contestant that says to the Bachelor that they are going home on their own accord because they don’t feel the connection is there because at least then they seem more honest instead of just ‘sticking it out’ so they can promote themselves or their business.
Does that sound too harsh?

“Reality” TV isn’t on my radar. I barely watch TV anymore, though.

I know a married man who was on “Millionaire Matchmaker.” His wife knew about it, too. He didn’t get chosen, but it just shows all they care about are people with the right look. He’s been on other “reality” TV shows, too, and says they are all scripted, every word.

Since it’s all scripted, and he got the job through his agent, he knew going in that he wouldn’t be chosen.

Of course all current daytime soaps live & DOOL is on my DVR daily.

The dead daytime soaps that I liked the most?

All My Children

Oh,I see now.
I have watched that show a couple of times when it used to be on here but if a show is scripted to that level,I don’t want to watch it.
Shallow relationships are one thing but who wants to watch fake (totally scripted) relationships…
