Doctors found blood in urine

Saw the urologist finally today and he found blood in my urine. Microhematuria because it can only be visibly seen under a microscope.

I have to have a CT scan, cystoscopy and some other tests in two weeks. He wants to find the cause of the blood. Of course he has scared me into oblivion with words ranging from a UTI or kidney stone…to a cancerous tumor.

I’m scared, crying, and we lost our offer on our house. Added to this, my medical insurance WILL NOT PAY for any of these tests.

So lost and sad. Never before have my wife and I felt like truly giving up on life.
 
Praying . . . also praying for any Medical Doctors that may be seen in the future because it is nice to have already prayed for the Doctor (Our Lord knows who s/he will be even if not born yet ;)). Prayer of Apology and Thanksgiving because of human forgetfulness to say “thank You” to Our Lord for all the blessings He pours on us . . . and we do not even realize it. 😉 🙂

O merciful Father,
Who have wonderfully fashioned man in Your own image,
and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit,
sanctify, we pray You, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to
…study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain.
Strengthen them in body and soul,
and bless their work,

The medical truth is that there is always trace amts. of blood in the urine or stool and it is normal. That it must be seen with a microscope makes me think that you have very little to worry about at this time. Don’t become upset until you have something more definite to worry over. Instead pray about it as I will pray for you. Replace your tears with faith that God always wants the best for us. Peace and prayers.
 
Keep your head in ALL circumstances!!

Praying for your intention. Praying it is not so bad. If you found blood on your finger you would be unconcerned. Throw a band aid on it and it heals itself. Similarly your body can heal internally as well. Occasionally i have seen blood in the stool. But it isn’t a big deal. The first time i saw it though I was scared.
 
Am praying for your health.

This is the problem with insurances, they all seem the same until you get sick, then you find out what the difference is.

Nobody here should be giving you medical advice. You have to make your own decisions about that. You should review your own medical history and your family medical history for clues to what problem you might have.

Financially you might start “shopping” around to find out what arrangements can be made at your local hospital, or what options they might be able to point you to.

It was all so shocking and I’m still in shock. My wife has cried all day and I cried only once but now I am numb to it I suppose.

I don’t know what to do or where to turn.

Put your trust in the Lord. Our lives are ultimately in his hand. He cares for you and has not abandoned you. He loves you and died for you. He knows every hair on your head.

I know it’s hard, but try not to worry about the outcome of your medical tests. Pray for the inner strength and peace to carry these crosses that have come into your life all at once. I will pray for this as well. I will be starting a Christmas novena and will remember you each day as I pray it. I will also put you on our parish’s prayer chain. There are some amazing intercessors there. I will also light a candle for you today there. God bless!
