This protestant I am having a discussion with is asserting that Jesus established a Doctrinal Apostolic Faith as opposed to an Institutional Apostolic Faith as the Catholic Church is…

I find this preposterous as no Protestant doctrinal ‘apostolic’ faith can be found anywhere, maybe a misinterpretation from St. Hippo.

Can someone help me find any more scriptural/Early Church Father evidence to support Institutional Apostolic Faith.

How does he resolve interpretational differences in doctrine without an institutional Church?
