The Book of Genesis recounts: After creating Adam, God said: "It is not good for a man to be alone. I will make him an assistant commensurate with him. ” Upon seeing Eve, Adam cried with joy: “This is the bone of my bones, the flesh of my flesh!” (cf. Gen 2:18-23).

Marriage is above all a vocation. Through union in love, the couple are called to be the living image of God (cf. Gen 1:26-28), a God who loves and is faithful (cf. Hs 2:21). ).

God’s love and faithfulness are fully manifested in Christ, the Son of God came to earth to save mankind.

Jesus lived on earth for only thirty-three years, but spent thirty years in the family of Nazareth. This shows that marriage and the family have an important role in God’s plan of salvation. In Jesus, couples realize that God is the one who initiated and always accompanied and made marriage and the family a path of happiness, leading people to communion with one another and communion. with God love.

Marriage is a beautiful God-given vocation and the family is the “school of love” as St. JPII has told us. It’s certainly a good thing to ponder from time-to-time especially when the family and marriage are under attack as they are.

Sorry to digress but we don’t know how old Jesus was when he died. The Bible says he was ABOUT 30 when he began his public ministry. About 30 could have been late 20’s or early to mid 30’s.
