Yes, delicious, poisonous corpses of death - yummy!
Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
Gen 1:29-30

One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.
Rom 4:2-3

Propaganda or not, the film has some serious information worth considering.

Are you under the impression that the people who decided not to follow the links the first three times you posted them, are going to go, “Wow! He posted it four times! It must be true!”?

No offense, but if someone doesn’t want to watch stuff, posting it over and over isn’t going to make them.

Spencelo,

Given the evangelical nature of your veganism, I’m beginning to think you may be breaking the forum rule on proselytizing.

Am I kidding? I’m not sure.

Yes, delicious, poisonous corpses of death - yummy! I sincerely hope those meatballs won’t contribute to any health problems.

I knew a man who ate almost nothing but meat–steak, sausage, pork chops, hamburgers–and lived to be almost 100 years old. Never put in a nursing home or anything; walked on his own til the day he was hospitalized, just a week or so before he died.

Btw, “corpses of death” is wee bit redundant. Actually, it doesn’t even make sense. The grammatically correct way to express it would be “dead corpses,” which is a bit like saying “sunny sunshine.”

Seriously, though, that kind of passive aggressive taunting is uncalled for.

  1. Catholics must be charitable in their discussions about non-Catholic belief and practice.
I have not seen a lot of charity coming from some of the Catholics on here, but I don’t complain because they seem to enjoy my presence, as I do theirs. As for promoting an agenda, that simply isn’t true: I’m merely here to inform and politely discuss important topics that don’t tend to get a lot of exposure. If there weren’t much interests in my threads, I would leave.

The phrase is meant to imply that animal corpses cause death in human beings, so understood that way, I think it makes sense.

My light taunting is objectionable but not one peep from you about the behavior of others towards me? Keep in mind: I actually don’t care about the personal attacks and insults I receive (quite entertaining!), so I’m not complaining.

I have considered becoming vegetarian, but Jesus wasn’t. For the first 2000 years the Jews atoned for their sins by slaughtering their most perfect prized animals to God. Then they were required to eat some of it. Then Jesus came & is called the Lamb of God because he was sacrificed to save us. Jesus had the fisherman put out into deep waters & rewarded them with a catch of fish soooo big it almost sunk the boat!

Since it is part of our religious heritage, and culture to eat meat, I don’t think you’ll find much interest in your cause. However I strongly feel we need to treat all animals humanely. 👍

Ok. That makes sense. Mea culpa. I was just trying to disarm what seemed like an aggressive comment by making light of it, anyway.

I must admit, I haven’t been reading the whole thread, as I’ve been mainly focusing on your posts, since it’s your arguments I’m engaging. But I have chastised fellow Catholics before when I’ve seen them being blatantly hateful; I haven’t read any like that here thus far. But know that I certainly don’t approve of it.

My “taunting” was meant to be taken in light spirit, so I don’t see why there are any grounds for complaints. It certainly wasn’t “blatantly hateful.”

I doubt it was accidental! :D.
**Yes, actually it WAS accidental. I’ve been reading about the norms and customs of the Middle Ages, and one of the topics was eating habits. I didn’t look at who posted, I was happy to read more on what I thought was the subject. So yeah, you got me this time, and yesterday I was just curious. There won’t be a next time because I will look to see who posted the topic.

We don’t think alike and you do sound, to me anyway, as having an agenda, so there is no use for me to read your posts. ( I was going to say, “to beat a dead horse”) . ;).

I truly wish you the best, I do think you have a good heart and animals do need a voice if they are being mis-treated. **

Well, you know how the internet can be. The context gets lost in translation. The absence of body language and tone of voice leaves much to be desired in online communication. It seemed to me to be a bit condemnatory.
