Does a Church annulment make the children illegitimate?

In the eyes of the Catholic Church are the children from an annullled marriage considered illigitimate, if not what is there status. ? A friend tells me that the children of an annulled, and therefore illegitimate marriage in the eyes of the Church cannot be legitimate

Hi,

Your informant is incorrect. A Church annulment has to do with the sacramental valdity of a marriage and does not touch on its civil status. Therefore it does not affect the status of children born of civilly married parents.
