Ok…Gerbil is 15. S/he should not be watching the R rated movies, because his/her conscious is not yet developed to handle this, plus age-appropriate material and all that.
S/he like to watch movies about saints. That is commendable for anyone, particular a teen who is forming his/her conscious.
S/he is also having trouble linking ideas, which is not that uncommon for this age group. S/he is still learning how to think, how to process, what is important to grab from material, how to apply what has been learned from point A to point B, etc.
So for him/her, s/he should NOT be watching material with cuss words, violence, nudity, etc. It is not appropriate for him/her. (Although I will question what kind of language s/he hears every day at school, Catholic or not!)
Gerbil, where the issue comes in is when you try to apply the standards you have set for yourself (good standards, btw) to everyone else, and then proceed to condemn anyone who does not follow your standards. You cannot do that, and all you will accomplish is irritating people, turning them away from you and potentially from the Church, and alienating yourself. I do not think that this is your goal!
I am glad you have an interest in this. That is good.

You do need to study a lot more, though! There are many, many wise people on these boards and many, many excellent references available through this site. Please continue to learn and continue to explore.
However, please do NOT pass judgment on behavior that YOU deem inappropriate. Afterall, remember that if only perfect people who followed every rule and law were admitted to the Catholic Church, the Church would be empty! No one is perfect!

(Not even the POPE is perfect! He is a sinner just like us!)
The Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints!
