Does anybody else listen to hymns on youtube when they’re bored. I actually do this and probably listen to it as much as the secular music .

Not hymns, no. But I do pull up music videos of certain Christian songs (usually Christian rock) over and over when I’m feeling upset. 🙂 it usually helps me a lot. 😃

Oh, all the time! It’s great for when I’m studying.

O Purest of Creatures and Sing of Mary are two favorites. I can listen to those all day, and sometimes do. And while not a hymn per se (but pretty close!), I also love the New Zealand national anthem, God Defend New Zealand. I am not from NZ; I just absolutely love the lyrics and tune. That’s played frequently too around here. 🙂

During Christmas it was a particular video for Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

YouTube can be great!

Yes, but usually they are protestant hymns since that’s what I am familiar with and what gives me comfort.

Oh my gosh…why can’t that happen to me? When I get to Heaven im going to ask God if I can sing that! (In tune)
😃

I find it really moving, too … to the point of tears, usually … I’ve watched it quite a few times :o.

I wish I could’ve been there to experience it, but I’m also very grateful that they captured the recording, so that we get to enjoy it, from a distance! 👍

Yes. Coptic melodies are particularly nifty. Though it’s more for spiritual inspiration than out of boredom. I’ve also turned a number of videos into MP3 files by now, so I can put them on my handheld music device.

I do. I listen to chant and all that kind of thing. I don’t like christian rock but there are a couple of those I like ok so I’ll listen to those. But, mostly eastern chant, some gregorian, some hymns.

All the time! I’ve found a few gems on You Tube.

There is a user called CatholicPeter on there that has some great ones.

I have the Litany of the Saints, a version of Gradual/Alleluia with birds in the background, the Divine Chaplet of Mercy, and some others. I’m at work now so I can’t post the links, but I might when I get home, they are awesome.
