Not mine, but whenever I go to the EF the parish will almost always have a violin recessional. It is excellent.

We have a nice young lady who plays violin, another who plays the clarinet, two guitarists, and on many occasions a harp. There is also a lady who plays our piano/organ. We are blessed with a truly amazing choir. At the Easter vigil I was truly blown away with their Gloria from the St. Anne setting. Truly amazing 🙂

At our 8 am, we have a professional organist/pianist and a professional violinist who has won many competitions. And we are just a small parish out in a rural area. Quite blessed if you ask me.

We use to have 2 women who played regularly (OF). Not sure why they have not lately. We also have various college students who play instruments when they are able. (various brass and woodwinds.) We have one young gentleman who is a flutist and lends his skills very often.

Unfortunately (imho), we also have the occasional “rock band” instruments with its electric amps.

For the high Holy Days we contract a brass group (union members). Our pianist is a paid (by piece) position and our organist is a volunteer. The music directer and choir master are also paid positions.
