Does anyone else read James White's blogs/e-letters?

I tried to, but White gets old real fast and he’s a complainer. White traveled to Rome this past May and complained about the food! Although, as with all “Bible Believing” preachers, its good to compare their highly fallible views with the teachings of the Church as presented in the Catechism.

If you kaycee are wanting us to point out specific statements of mis-representation, then this will just become a negative type arguement, not a very Christian thing to do. I would prayerfully look at your own posts and see if what I said earlier is clear to you.

Debate need not be negative. I am trying not to be negative. If E.E.E.N.s can find any missrepresentations I have made please let me know. I will happily examine my statements more closely. I don’t think cordial debate should involve accusations without evidence. I have tried not to distort the RCC teachings after having been one for 27 years. I dont believe Dr. White misrepresents the teaching either. I would be interested in seeing what you consider his misrepresentations.

I just pointed one out earlier Kaycee, I hesitate to keep on this as we are not to judge others and debate usually is just to make people feel good. What should be used in place of debate is careful charitable discussion.
I understand you might not see the offense you have caused in some of your posts, you are just trying to articulate your beliefs and that is fair. Just pray for a more charitable heart for all of us in discussing beliefs.

I will continue to pray for James White so that God may open his heart. And that he continue and be blessed in his zeal to lead people closer to Christ.

I was a Catholic growing up in a Catholic family, getting first communion and getting confirmed. I still fell away from the Church as there has been very poor Catechesis for a whole generation or so. Lets focus on what is good about James White and how we can help each other.

Thanks to all who have participated in this discussion. As stated before. Discussion of Mr. White and his rhetoric is fruitless and since the charity rapidly decends in any discussion of him…this thread is now closed.
