Does anyone have bad stories from their Protestant days?

When I was in the youth group growing up my youth leader consentrated all of her attention on the kids that “looked Christian”. My brother and I didnt’ fit that mold. I always frustreted the youth leader because instead of wanting to know about abstanace or drugs I was interested in Christian doctrine.My youth leader told me to think like a child and forget doctine. When I was a teenager most girls were into fashon magazines I was reading about theology but had no one to ask questions too My church didn’t put much focuse on the youth. They just thought they would stay because thier parents were in the church.
