Does anyone in your family ask you what you/your dh earns?

My sister told me that she said to her son’s wife…‘you’re going to run out of eggs if you don’t have a child soon.’ (my nephew’s wife is 30) :rolleyes: I was like…I can’t believe you said that, and you wonder why they are made at you. :whacky:

At least she just sticks with money, with dh and me. 😃
 
I remember once at a neighborhood block party one guy was asking in a roundabout way how much he made…my DH who NEVER backs down looked at him in the eye and said “I know where this is going-why dont you just ask?” the guy blushed and changed the subject. This probly wouldnt work with your family since they are direct. I would ask why they want to know.
 
My sisters two kids both had very strong Cree Indian features when they were little (her daughter still does) and people used to ask her if they were adopted from China. She finally started saying, No, I have a Chinese mailman.

Mama knows I make good money because she is always worrying about my having deprived myself to help her. But even she does not know how much I actually earn.
