Does anyone know if the Sacred Letter/ Drops of Blood Devotion a valid devotion?

First, the Ignitum website you linked to is infested with adware that takes over one’s screen.

Second, the Ignitum website links to a Fatima Center website with a link that appears dead for what it was supposed to point to. The Fatima Center appears to be associated with the late Fr Nicholas Gruner’s “Fatima Crusader”, which was controversial as it kept insisting the consecration of Russia hadn’t been done correctly.

Third, I don’t believe Our Lord would expect people to carry around some letter in order for him to protect them, nor would he curse anyone who didn’t believe in the letter, and the alleged promises sound like the one attached to the old Prayer to St Joseph combined with the discredited St Bridget Prayer promises.

Fourth, Our Lord wouldn’t use the term “Plenary Indulgence” because indulgences are granted by the Church. This one isn’t in the latest Manual of Indulgences so I don’t think there is an indulgence anymore.

You can be devoted to Jesus and pray the prayers if you want, and just ask Him to protect you. But I would not give credit to the promises and such, and I also have my doubts this whole letter came from Jesus.

Finally, the OLRL website has an actual source from Pope Leo declaring this apocryphal. That should be all you need to know.

HI.
As the Mass is ‘the source and summit’ of our Catholic life.

No intercession or devotions we can undertake, when we’re choosing from the many wonderful devotions, or seeking whether the are valid aged, that none. is more powerful than the Mass, the Eucharist,
so when we are seeking a powerful means to pray, thankfully we have the Eucharist.
You, and all of us, know that, but it doesn’t harm for us to mention that again, every now and then. 💐

I know the Mass and the Eucharist are the best devotion but I was doing the sacred letter/drops of blood devotion for the promises.

Well, I guess I’ll keep the devotion for now. I don’t think it condemned by the bishops.

In another site it was approved by Pope Leo in 1890.

If you already made up your mind to continue with a devotion that from all the evidence appears spurious, even when you’ve been warned about these “promises”, then why did you even bother to ask for advice if you’re not going to take it?
I’m out…this is a waste of time as you want to do the devotion and are not interested in the suggestions of others. Bye.

Well been doing this devotion for over 1 and half years. I’m not breaking it untill I confirmed it with a priest or an expert that it should not be trusted or else I may have to start over this 3 year devotion.

You sound like you are edging closer to the point of considering it magic.

it is not.

over this 3 year devotion.
Devotions don’t work this way. They’re not magic spells that “stack” or grow stronger the longer you practice them. A devotion is a vehicle for helping you increase in grace. You acquire the promises of glory and salvation through the grace to live a Christian life afforded to you by God when you decided to be a little more close to Him by taking up a devotion. Devotions are not magic spells, and, with all due respect, you shouldn’t be saying one just “for the promises”. The devotion doesn’t magically make you get to Heaven without any effort on your part, what it does is that it helps you increase in faith and grace and ergo, live a saintly life.

Furthermore, nowhere in the Catholic Church do we teach that devotions are “get into Heaven easy” cards.

Christ’s peace.

What about the 15 promises of Rosary, those have not been condemned.

Umm just where did I say anything about the Rosary promises being condemned?

My argument that devotions are not magic spells that make you get to Heaven with virtually zero effort on your part?

Also, I don’t see how you linked between what I said and the Rosary promises. Or any other promises.

Sorry, when you say “magic spells” that sets off alarms .

So your saying to do devotions that helps you becoming a better person spiritually and not because you want a promise. Promises can give people hope and assurance of salvation though.
