If Jimmy B. is retired he may be living on a limited income. Some people go through periods when it becomes just too expensive to continue their Internet service. Been there, done that. If you’re triaging your finances, the $25.00 or $40.00 or whatever you pay for high-speed Internet can go towards the monthly water bill. Or buy a few more groceries or whatever. (Yeah, you can get dial-up instead, for around ten bucks–but then you gotta have a landline, which is another twenty or so for basic service, after taxes and fees are paid. I went for awhile with no landline, no Internet, just a prepaid cell phone that we used as sparingly as possible).
Other possibilities include simple boredom. Or he’s frequenting other forums or websites. Or he never really was a Catholic but was having fun trolling as one till the whole thing got boring. There are other likely scenarios which speak to the fact that he’s not only incommunicado but that he can’t be PMed or e-mailed.

A Protestant Sect captured me and they tried to force me to convert but I escaped. I’m back now and I am forced to move constantly in order to prevent detection and being recaptured.
