I read online that god’s throne is made of lapis. And there is suppose to be some connection between Mary and lapis.

I am just wondering where in the bible lapis is mentioned.

Thanks in advance!

My King James doesn’t mention it any place. It is the only one I have a search function for.

The Bible translations that I am familiar with use the word “sapphire” which is generally believed to be the equivalent of lapis lazuli. There are references to sapphire in Ezekial 28:13, Isaiah 54:11 and Rev 21:19.

New American Standard Bible:

Ezekiel 1:22-28
22Now over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads.
23Under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward the other; each one also had two wings covering its body on the one side and on the other.
24I also heard the sound of their wings like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army camp; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.
25And there came a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.
**26Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man.
**
27Then I noticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him.
28As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.
Not sure about a connection to Mary, other than a possible color connection. However, I seem to remember something from iconography about blue being the symbolic color of divinity.

Bear in mind that when specific materials are mentioned in descriptions of heavenly things, they are references to what the heavenly things look like, not necessaryily what they are, as is indicated in the verse quoted above: "Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man.

I’m a bit late in the discussion, but better to be that…😃
As mentioned, you should search for instances of the Hebrew word sappir - usually translated in older Bibles as ‘sapphire’. And as for the divine throne:

And Moses went up, Aaron also, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and they saw the God of Israel, and under His feet was as a paved work of the sappir, and as the body of the heavens for clearness. And to those of the sons of Israel who are near He did not stretch His hand; and they saw God, and ate and drank.
  • Exodus 24:9-11
And above the expanse that was over their head, as an appearance of a sappir stone, was the likeness of a throne, and on the likeness of the throne a likeness, as the appearance of man upon it from above. And I saw as the colour of electrum, as the appearance of fire within it all around, from the appearance of His waist and upward, and from the appearance of His waist and downward, I have seen as the appearance of fire, and brightness is to it all around. As the appearance of the bow that is in a cloud in a day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. It was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of YHWH.
  • Ezekiel 1:26-28; 2:1a

You will need to search under sapphire rather than lapis in Douay Rheims.
