Are priests with the Legionaries of Christ part of the diocese they’re in as diocesan priests are? or are they like priests in religious orders? are they under the local Latin bishop? just wondering if anyone knows 🙂 thanks!

Archbishop Velasio De Paolis, CS is the papal delegate to the Legionaries of Christ, working in the name of the Supreme Pontiff. The general director, Fr Alvaro Corcuera, and other superiors of the congregation, are under the authority of Archbishop Velasio De Paolis.
