Does anyone play THE SIMS

Sometimes I still play THE SIMS (The SIMS 3 now) on my computer…I got a new expansion pack two weeks ago so its gotten me back into the world of little virtual people you control. I love creating the little sim families…and with the addition of bunk beds (it took them long enough!) I could finally put 5 kids in one bedroom! yes…5…since huge houses take a lot of simoleans to build them…you can just throw 5 kids in one bedroom with two bunks and a single bed.

I do not let my sim-people have 100% full free will (I am cruel :p) because when I let them have free will in The Sims 2 they never took care of the crying baby in the crib…they would just stuff their faces with food from the fridge or watch television!

So, does anyone else play THE SIMS?
 
I haven’t played The Sims for years. I was still a kid when the first one came out, and I remember how great it was when you could move from street to street instead of just having five lots or whatever it was. I quit playing after the expansion packs where you could go to town and visit shops and restaurants. My computer was older than most and it was so slow it wasn’t even enjoyable. Maybe I’ll get the first ones again.

I loved how they would mess up the most simple tasks. Instead of putting their plates in the sink they just set them down on the floor and then complained about the house being messy! :rotfl:
 
lol…I stopped playing after Sims 2. It seemed to take up to much of my time. Let’s put it this way…I am glad I am not God and so should you be lol. Those Siminites had no freewill. lol
 
I do! I love it, though I haven’t played for months. I keep waiting for a religion expansion pack.

they’ll never come out with one (they’d have to accommodate all religions and I am sure atheist players would object) but I have seen some player made custom churches…really beautiful ones that can be placed as a community lot.

The expansion I just got added seasons – that was one of my favorites from The Sims 2.

Someday I may let a sim family do free will, but I am afraid a teenager would sneak out and play a prank and get arrested/brought home by poilice or never do their homework. 😛

I know, but I can dream can’t I? I keep planing to make a church, but I get bored with building and want to play more.
 
The Sims website, back when the Vacation expansion pack came out for The Sims, had played-created downloads for free. I’m sure you could find religious things like paintings, if they still have those for download. I remember they had stories that fans had created and uploaded, which were snapshots with text below. I remember some were pretty ambitious. I spent the summer of my 13th year reading a bunch. They had ghost stories, comedies, murder mysteries, I think someone even tried a ninja story. I tried making one, but I couldn’t take the pictures at the exact right moment.
 
I’ve played since the beginning of The Sims, and I’ve quite enjoyed the games (used to play them with my cousin until she grew older and became disinterested in them); I still play them, only now I play The Sims 3. I was thinking of making a religious town (with church, families, priest, nuns, etc.) but I’m not sure if I have the patience for that… :o

I love Sims! 😃
I still play Sims 2. I tried Sims 3 but couldn’t get into it. I seriously need a better computer because graphics on this one suck. It plays Sims 3 just fine, but not Sims 2. 🤷
