They were very groovy.

They were so tiny though, you could fit four or five in a ziplock bag.
 
You mean for your dolls?

I wore my go-go boots and they went up about halfway between my ankle and knee and they zipped up the side. Mine would not have fit in a ziplc bag, let alone 4 or 5!

All the dancers on the dance shows wore go-go boots. They were groovy! 😊

I never had go-go boots. I do remember Sally on mad men got a pair when she was about 11. They looked cute.

When I was about 12 I got a pair of cowboy boots from the store, Thom McCann. Does anyone remember that shoe store.

My boots were black with gold trim and gold studding. 12 year old me thought they were very cool.

I remember Thom McCann. Those cowboy boots were cool I bet with gold studding.
 
My younger sister had “Sunshine Family” dolls back in the 1970s. They were like the hippie version of Ken and Barbie, all wholesome and back-to-nature. No dream car or gaudy beach house for them. I think they lived in a commune.

That’s kind of an accurate description in some ways. 😄

We don’t have Netflix, but we did get the first two seasons on DVD from the library. I admit, I did enjoy the show, though it does somewhat weird me out to see adult shows with children as the main cast.
 
OMG, I had those dolls! I loved that their legs could actually bend.

I used my Tinker Toys to create some gymnastics apparatus (uneven bars?) and my Sunshine Family was soon swinging away.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if that was a precursor of my current interest in parkour… And I also have a spinning wheel… And I lived in a commune between the ages of 19 and 21. Well, I lived in a monastery, but it was a kind of commune.

Be careful what you buy your children, people! 😱

My mom used to buy us these Space Food Sticks back in the late '60s. Like the drink Tang, they were marketed as one of the great inventions to come from the space race :roll_eyes:. They were tasty, though, basically vitamin-fortified candy.

I haven’t seen it, but I thought the target audience was older teens. My daughter liked it.
 
😳. I really used to wonder if these sea monkeys were sentient little beings that you put in a glass. I would worry about them, and be somewhat frightened of them at the same time.

That may be true. There’s just some language and scary themes, so i know my tween isn’t ready for it.
