Standing in a public space next to an anti-catholic church(mars hill Seattle, mark Driscoll’s) and passing out rosaries, holy cards and tracts defending the catholic church before and after thier church service??? I would not be doing this out of anger but to clarify some mistakes that he made on a January 24th 2013 sermon he made where he mentioned the catholic church. 19 times that is on his public page?

Thanks for your response

No, but I would however discourage someone to try this alone. Even the apostles took action in groups of two.

Also, I don’t think anyone can take any action officially employing the name “Catholic” unless they have some sort of permission to do so. I am not saying you can’t hand out what you say, but perhaps it should not look like it’s an initiative of the Catholic Church if instead it is something you and others thought of.

By the way: if they are literally anti-Catholic, then they probably think you are a follower of the devil or something, so they may act according to that belief, regardless of how true and holy may be what you are telling them or handing them.

In short: give it some thought and do so with some other people as reasonable as you seem to be 🙂

I would stand at least 50 feet away from the church, or at least across the street. And, please be very careful that someone doesn’t physically assault you. There are all kinds of crazies and fanatics in this world!

I’m 6-3 230 and in good shape if a normal size person assault me it probably wouldn’t hurt and I could just walk away

But thanks for your concern

Yes, be careful. Don’t take your safety for granted.
(Gee, I sound like a mother…)

Heck, I’ll take a rosary and some tracts on Catholicism.

Yes, but not everyone is of normal size and some people are VERY strong despite being short and or skinny. Also, some people carry weapons, some practice martial arts and some are insane.

Really think this through and pray about it long and hard. Bring as large a group as you can if you wind up deciding you are really going to do this and don’t stand right next to the place.

Any religious objects you choose to give out might be taken from you and thrown on the ground in front of you or something. That’s what I’d be most worried about.😦

Yeah, I wouldn’t hand anti-Catholics rosaries for that reason. I also agree w/ taking someone w/ you for support. Seattle (& the NW in general) does have it’s share of crazies.

The majority are fallen away Catholics because te preacher is
Waste of time and money spent on the tracts and such.
You would do more if you just sat there and prayed for them.
like other posters said just because of your size doen’t mean a normal person wouldn’t be able to hurt you.One aids victim spits in yur face and all your muscle won’t protect you.
Antilla the Hun backed down from Pope Leo, why? Because of the vision he saw behind the pope, an angel dressed in priestly garb with a bared sword.

You might do better passing out literature in neighborhoods dropping it inside the stormdoor. Especially literature addressed to lapsed catholics.

Just an idea.
