I have tried it. I think it would be too much trouble to print it out and make copies on a regular basis. If, for example, you’re going to do daily morning and evening prayer with a church group, it would be better to buy enough books for your group.
It is handy, however, on an occasional basis when you need enough for a large group but can’t justify the cost of a lot of books — for example, our church prays the Liturgy of the Hours just during the Triduum, and it makes sense for that (on the other hand, the subscription is kind of expensive if you only use it a couple of days a year).
I guess there’s no easy answer. (The best solution, I think, would be for the official prayers of the Church not to be copyrighted, and have them available online for all.)
