Does anyone use eBreviary?

Does anyone on the boards use eBreviary.com? I’m interested in people’s experiences with it. Does anybody use it with a group? Is printing the booklets difficult or expensive? They have a version of vespers in spanish available. Has anyone used that? Any sort of comments or opinions are helpful . Thanks!

I have tried it. I think it would be too much trouble to print it out and make copies on a regular basis. If, for example, you’re going to do daily morning and evening prayer with a church group, it would be better to buy enough books for your group.

It is handy, however, on an occasional basis when you need enough for a large group but can’t justify the cost of a lot of books — for example, our church prays the Liturgy of the Hours just during the Triduum, and it makes sense for that (on the other hand, the subscription is kind of expensive if you only use it a couple of days a year).

I guess there’s no easy answer. (The best solution, I think, would be for the official prayers of the Church not to be copyrighted, and have them available online for all.)

It is something I would use for traveling, but not day in and out- i love the smell and feel of a book too much.

Thanks to everybody for the feedback. It gives me something to think about. I was wondering if this would be useful for a prayer group. I doubt my parish is willing or able to buy the books and I’m afraid people wouldn’t be willing to buy their own copies.

Oh absolutely. Our hymnal does have an order for a type of Evening Prayer but it differs a bit from the official text. Ideally I’d use something closer to stuff in the books.
