Well 5 seasons is a very good run. It’s good to know when to bow out on a good note.

Five seasons would take me a while, if I start to watch. But I really ought to pace myself a bit better.

I’m a Sherlock Holmes fan, watched all those, but I don’t know Agathe Cristie’s Poirot so I might give that a watch tonight. It’s a bit more civilized than Fringe. Though I’m definitely going to watch at least one episode of Fringe sometime soon.

Looks just like my cousin Lou. Sorry, not gonna happen.

Oh, I was not minimizing it at all. I enjoyed the series. It was a break from reality.

Well…Fringe shall have to wait a little while, as I am finding Agatha Christie’s Poirot most excellent.

If you chaps like Sherlock Holmes, definitely have a look.

I enjoyed Fringe very much. From what I recall, there isn’t much (if any) sex in the show. I wouldn’t really say it is “gory”. There is plenty of paranormal, “frightening” type imagery, but I don’t think I’d categorize it as “gore”.

Probably the worst thing is the ubiquitous drug references. But I don’t think it’s glamourized. Most of them have to do with Dr. Bishop, and it’s pretty clear in the show that he is not the character to emulate.

I think there are some great themes in the show about forgiveness, father-son relationships, “playing god” with science, etc.

Hello.

Yes, sigh, my husband made me watch the whole thing. Started making me want to call people “saps.” We have the whole set on video. My husband got it.

I prefer police/detective/crime shows. Got seasick moving around from one parallel universe to the next and one of me is more than I can handle. It’s a matter of taste. Plus everyone is so serious but the cow and the elderly scientist provide some comic relief.

It is a well-done show and I admire that, just not my cup of tea. I didn’t find it particularly gory, but then I like crime shows and I’m a nurse …

Ahh well, it does not sound so terrible. But perhaps you would be more amenable to what I just finished watching. Poirot. Some here suggested it. And it’s nice. I am completely new to Agatha Christie’s detective stories! They are not quite Sherlock Holmes, but David Suchet is an exceptional actor. If you’ve not seen these you might enjoy watching.
