Sorry for not finding the correct word here. I do know that baptism erases the original sin, but I’m curious whether it also erases every sin one has committed up to that point. I’m asking this since I really wish every single sin is forgiven at the moment of baptism…

Thanks in advance.

Yes, baptism remits original sin and all sins committed up to that point. After baptism, one must go to confession to have serious sins forgiven.

Then perhaps I don’t belong here, as I answered, answer and will continue to answer to Jesus. Could you recommend a site where I would belong? Correct me if I’m wrong.

I was born and baptized as a Catholic by married parents. Then my parents turned to evil, and I renounced my faith. Today I believe again.

I have had bad experiences every time I attempt to get close to a church, whether actual or online. I have been publicly humiliated by a Catholic priest in Toronto. I have been given the evil eye by members of a Protestant church in Ottawa. I have been banned from a Protestant community forum just weeks ago. If I am to be rejected again, I would like to know where it is I belong.

it sounds like you have a few experiences that you could benefit by speaking to your parish priest. If you are unsure where you belong, start attending Mass and sitting also in Adoration and Benediction.
God leads us all home on different journeys, on different paths, and over the course of our lives. Its great you have started to question where you belong and what that will look like.

If you are banned or suspended from an internet forum, this does not mean you don’t belong in the Catholic Church, how could it? These forums are made up of people, who make decisions based on their own bias and prejudice.

As an RCIA catechist, to me, one of the most beautiful sights in all the world happens during the Easter Vigil. When a catechumen comes from the baptismal font, we see them as pure and holy as God intended! It is always a profoundly joyful thing.

I don’t think you’re being rejected. No one has said anything rejecting you personally. We were simply pointing out that what you were saying was not Catholic teaching, and as such, is not helpful to someone who comes to a Catholic forum asking questions.

Would you like an explanation of why what you were saying was in conflict with Catholic teaching?

What’s a Blessed Sacrament?

I have reached my limit for new members, but yes, please I wish to know why what I am saying conflicts with Catholic teaching.

Maybe they mean “stink eye.” My wife gives me the stink eye all the time.

My Nona was so big on the evil eye. I think in reality it was stink eye to her kids, a big bunch of boys. And hubby.
