Does baptism take away all sins?

If a 40 year old man became a Catholic when he is baptised is all his sins absolved and all the guilt attached t them removed when he is baptised?

Here is the citation from the Catechism:

1263 By Baptism all sins are forgiven, original sin and all personal sins, as well as all punishment for sin.66 In those who have been reborn nothing remains that would impede their entry into the Kingdom of God, neither Adam’s sin, nor personal sin, nor the consequences of sin, the gravest of which is separation from God. (977, 1425)

What about those sins they may not be sorry for.

Let’s say that someone has a bad porn habit and they know they are going to continue that after baptism.

Or someone has is stealing from the petty cash drawer for his weekly bowling and has no intention of stopping.

The Catechism seems pretty clear when it says By Baptism all sins are forgiven.

The whole point of the scrutinies during Lent is to focus on repentance for sins in preparation for baptism.

Sins committed after baptism are another matter and the subject of a different sacrament.

What about those sins they may not be sorry for.

Baptism is not like absolution which may be withheld from obstinately persisting grave sinners. Baptism is absolute, all-inclusive, and indiscriminate. It really does forgive all sins, even if we haven’t repented (much). Obviously, taking the step to be baptized indicates at least some tiny morsel of repentance already.
