No, the little tiny pie, what kind is that? It looks good too!

😱

Both actually, but more John making one for me!
It is nice having him cook for me when we’re home. He no longer travels with pots and pans and cooks during tour. From years ago, in his kitchen. I don’t even know if I was born then!

I have a vague recollection of him on someone’s show doing a cooking segment. Maybe Dinah Shore, or Mike Douglas shows, lol. Unless I am just imagining it…

My John is very good with Indian dishes. His Chicken Rogan Josh is to die for. He and I were discussing what all went in it and how long it would take to cook.

When Mama saw the list of ingredients and found out it would take every pot in the house to make, her jaw dropped and she said, “John, you’re doing the dishes too!” 😳

He cooked on several, mostly Mike Douglas, several times. One of his favorite things to cook - shrimp. He doesn’t cook them much any longer. I’m allergic to shellfish. He’s sitting beside his indoor pool, which now has a retractable roof. Those lovely glass doors, imported from Egypt, over his head lead to a large living room.

Those Indian dishes really take a lot of time, work, and ingredients. I love Chicken Tandoori and Sweet Mango Chutney, but it’s been years since I’ve had it. John has us on “clean eating” now, which is fine with me. I had a peach and strawberry smoothie.

Didn’t you say you’re Jewish? Even if you weren’t allergic, shellfish wouldn’t be allowed on your diet.

I remember John telling me how long it took since I’m always asking him for recipes. I remember saying, “You can make it for me, John.” That’s when he said it would take every pot in the house. I thought he was kidding. He wasn’t. And when Mama said he could do the dishes, I thought I’d die. He thought it was funny.

Mama doesn’t treat celebrities like celebrities. We’ve got several in the family. And she treats them like everyone else. She expects them to clean up after themselves. :hugs:
