Does Benny Hinn teach the Truth of Gospel Message ?

I do occasionally watch the TBN protestant evangelicals … to keep in touch with what they are preaching. Saw him recently, being interviewed by Paul Crouch. He had Paul speechless, and wondering what he was hearing … when Benny claimed to have been visited by angels, and to of heard audible messages from H.S.

Something to bear in mind about TBN: The people who run it are Word of Faith, and the vast majority of preachers on TBN are WoF. So you will hear the “blab it and grab it” variety of prosperity gospel there and little else. And that isn’t representative of Protestant evangelicals, most of whom don’t buy into that.
He was a real showman, very entertaining, but overly dramatic. He did offer up a sincere Sinnner’s Prayer at the conclusion of program … that had all making private confessions, and interior decisions for repentance. I came away thinking he can bring about much good for his testimony to Christ, yet worried he may be in it for vainglory he receives from the control he can exert over the flock.

Nevertheless, I wish to give him the benefit of doubt … recalling that the apostles once came to Christ worried about others that were preaching Christ ---- that were not part of their group. Christ told them not to be concerned, … that anyone preaching Christ and his H.S. were doing good for the Kingdom.

For he that is not against us is for us.”

For those reasons, I do not condemn Benny Hinn. He may be doing more good than harm. But I don’t personally trust him and won’t support his ministry.
