How could it possibly exist except in a perverted psyche?

It is an acquired condition that exists in thoroughly selfish people who think only of their own sexual pleasure. It is a thoroughly sinful condition that contradicts everything the Church teaches about the sexual act. Anyone who denies this is copping out for their own perversity and selfishness

true but that depends on your definition of that. For me, being an asexual, by God’s grace, I love everyone. It is like being bi but without the sexual attraction.

Because there are many people who do NOT regard bi-sexuality as being the result of a perverted psyche. And there are even some Catholics, such as myself, who think the flinging around of phrases like “perverted psyche” is not a proper way to discuss such a topic:tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk:

My opinion is that it is an error of of the enemy of God.
The author of nature created human beings who are either male or female.
If one turns out to be a male in female body or a female in male body, an error has definitely occurred. Similarly, if in one human being is found both male and female mentality, an error has definitely occurred.
God is perfect hence no error can be attributed to Him.
Bisexuality like homosexuality then are errors committed not by the Perfect Being but by the opposite of perfection, God’s enemy.
The challenge is with whom do we associate: God or God’s enemy?

Your opinion makes no sense. Being transgendered (feeling you should be the opposite gender) and being homosexual (attracted especially sexual to the same gender) are not related at all. There are masculine homosexuals and effeminate homosexuals just like there are masculine heterosexuals and effeminate homosexuals. Being a man that is attracted to males does not give one a female mentality nor does a woman attracted to females necessarily give one a masculine mentality. In addition to that your opinion is also gravely theologically defective.

Everyone is a little bit bisexual. Sexuality exists on a spectrum.

Right, and on two counts.

First, I’m not positive but I don’t think the Church teaches that souls have a gender. They develop a gender identity based on the body they wear, though it can be counteracted by various environmental/social factors.

Secondly, even if souls did somehow have innate gender, Satan does not get to choose what soul is paired with which body. That is God’s job.

I believe that bisexuality does exist. At one point I was struggling with same sex attraction but I was also attracted to the opposite sex. I thought I might be bisexual for a while. Thankfully I no longer deal with attraction to the same sex.

Souls do have an innate gender, but they don’t have an innate sexuality, you appear to muddle the two in your post

Some people are lucky enough to have SSA go away.

However, the practising transgendered and the practising homosexuals are disordered and commit grave sins by their actions.

Everyone is a little bit bisexual. Sexuality exists on a spectrum.
Whilst there is a scale of such a nature, the scale does still allow for complete homosexuality or complete heterosexuality. So saying that “everyone is a little bit bisexual” is very much incorrect.

Bisexuality does very much exist just as homosexuality exists. That doesn’t mean it’s not a disordered inclination or justify same-sex relations but denying the existence of bisexuality is like saying alcoholism doesn’t exist. It’s just plain ignorant.

There is a very large amount of stuff that is a grave sin

Love is not bad, gay sex is, it’s a mixed bag whereas alcoholism is bad through and through. SSA is frequently not an addiction whereas alcoholism by its nature is an addiction.

Of course bisexuality exists. Just because someone has an unhealthy attraction to people of the same sex doesn’t mean they must also lack a healthy attraction to people of the opposite sex. If anything bisexuality is healthier than exclusive homosexuality, but for some reason there is if anything even more stigma attached to it. I guess there’s a feeling that bisexual people must be sort of hypersexual, leading to a sort of indiscriminate attraction to everyone, but I don’t think this is an accurate idea.

Thats true but the thread is not about the other stuff.

Sadly this comment shows you have no understanding of transgendered or homosexuality.A transgendered person has been born with the wrong sexual parts or sometimes both sexual parts.Historically parents have had to make a decision to ‘choose’ the sexuality of the child for them.Mistakes have been made and the child may grow up recognising it should be the other gender than that which was assigned. Transgendered people are the same as you and I …‘people’! They suffer enormous emotional issues without hurtful ignorance causing them more pain and anguish. Homosexuals are completely different and are attracted to the same sex. They cannot help how they feel inside and who they are atttracted to. There are many homosexual catholics and many transgendered catholics. Both have very different conditions and should not be confused.

We are called to love our neighbour and not to judge. We are called to love our enemies even.I hope you will find it in your heart to pray for transgendered people and homosexual people. All are welcome in God’s house.

That is a very narrow definition you have given and is only party correct. The defininition of transgender is far wider than that.
Someone who is born, for example, a normal male (no extra or missing sexual organs) and decides to have an operation to become a female is a transgender. That is disordered and a sin.
Nobody suggested we should not pray for such people.
