Does Catholicism teach that Muslims worship our God?

Dear Catholic Answers,
I am a cradle Catholic, but have been away from the church for over 40 years. I had a born-again experience 15 years ago and have been in an evangelical church since then. Recently, I felt the Lord leading me back to the Catholic church, and so I have been attending a Catholic Church near my home. The Lord has blessed me here. Today at Mass we had a visiting Jesuit priest from a nearby Catholic University say Mass. During the sermon he said that the Muslims worship the same God we do. I spoke to him after the mass thinking I must have heard him wrongly, but he said I heard him correctly. Can this be? Does the Catholic church believe that the Muslims worship the same God? I would greatly appreciate an answer. Thank you. BB.
