There are some ideas that simply require constant repetition.
You posted the link. I pointed to the content that shows how science self-corrects. One way is with “intriguing possibilities” that add to our knowledge. You can disagree with the science but summarily dismissing the science, which you have done a number of times, doesn’t add anything to our knowledge. That’s pure speculation. Nothing more. Some human kids today learn at a highly accelerated level, others don’t.
I know, but I think that’s what he’s getting at.That is not what the Church teaches.
I wouldn’t just limit that to scientists, Ed.Respectfully, no scientists are concerned about what I think.
You are making erroneous assumptions about what I believe. I outlined in post 402 my literal interpretation of Genesis. I believe it implies the planet earth and most of the universe were created before the “six days” of creation. So there were two different stages of creation. Don’t ask me why - it wasn’t my idea. There could be a huge gap between between Genesis 1:1 and the “six days”. When went on it that time we aren’t told. Maybe there was some other creation that God hasn’t told us about (and why should He? He tells us only what He wants us to know). Why accept the universe could be billions of years old and not accept the theory of evolution?
You just admitted that a literal reading of genesis leads to the view that life on earth started 5778 years ago. In fact a literal reading of genesis implies a young earth and a young universe. But you are willing to make compromises when it suits you.
If God didn’t intend that creation should naturally evolve then what is the point of an ancient universe and an ancient earth? Why not create everything in one instant including life?
Everything God does is supposed to make sense to us humans? Good luck with that one.It doesn’t make sense.
Green Warblers becoming more Green Warblers is macroevolution - LOL!!! And you consider this to be solid evidence that bugs can evolve into humans? Why are Darwinists so embarrassingly bad at science? One species of Green Warbler splitting into two separate species of Green Warbler is indeed speciation and hence macroevolution. Where before there was one species there are now two.
This is junk science dreamed up by charlatans; nothing but wishful thinking and wild Darwinist extrapolation. That is the way common descent works to form the tree of life.
I’m not philosopher but I think your statement might qualify as a Fallacy of the False Dichotomy.A deceptive god or a human misinterpretation of scripture. Which do you think is more likely?
Whatever do you mean? With some luck the mods will ban discussions on evolution again. For your sake.
Explain it? Who am I to explain why God created what He did? This is like asking, “Why did God choose to make the sky blue and grass green and a platypus?”How do you propose to explain the twin nested hierarchy of life without evolution?
Do you mean that species may vanish, but there will be no new ones?In a billion years time, Green Warblers will have produced nothing more that more Green Warblers.
Trichotomy perhaps:I’m not philosopher but I think your statement might qualify as a Fallacy of the False Dichotomy.
God made the universe from nothing. And it rolls on…How does a Catholic Darwinist go about explaining this away?..
“I beseech thee, my child, to look at the heaven and the earth and see everything that is in them, and recognize that God did not make them out of things that existed. Thus also mankind comes into being” - 2 Maccabees 7:28
I wondered who’d be the one to post that Brad…I wouldn’t just limit that to scientists, Ed
This idea that we cannot reason about Gods creative act is unfounded.Everything God does is supposed to make sense to us humans? Good luck with that one.
