And what would be the source of this “proclamation?” Or, might I ask you, what must be the source?Has the Church made a proclamation on if there is a literal fire in purgatory, or is it still just optional?

The same way God did with David. He forgave him for his transgression with Bathsheba and having her husband killed. But He still punished David and Bathsheba by not allowing their child to live. But that wasn’t my question. I asked how you can reconcile your doctrine of “Purgatory” with Heb. 1:3:Heb 1:3 "And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,.
When God forgives you your sins where does this temporal punishment come from. Are there conditions on God’s forgiveness now? If you are forgiven you are forgiven period. This temporal punishment is an invention in the western church. Our sins are forgiven, there is no question there. But, we are still liable for the temporal punishment of our actions.
Then explain David and Bathsheba’s child. When God forgives you your sins where does this temporal punishment come from. Are there conditions on God’s forgiveness now? If you are forgiven you are forgiven period. This temporal punishment is an invention in the western church.
But I’m not talking about forgiveness of sins. Nor is Heb. 1:3. It says:"When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,Purgatory is not about “paying” for sins, or even forgiving sins. But supposedly about cleansing the sin-stained soul of a believer via his own (the believer’s) sufferings. So how do you reconcile this doctrine with the fact that, according to God’s Word, Christ made “purification of sins” through His own blood on the cross? How do you reconcile your doctrine of Purgatory with the Biblical doctrine of the cross? The same way God did with David. We don’t purify our own souls in Purgatory, they are purified as a result of Christs Sacrifice on the cross. But I’m not talking about forgiveness of sins. Nor is Heb. 1:3. I don’t see any conflict between our doctrine and Hebrews. When Christ died on the Cross, he conquered death. He made it where our sins could be purified through His loving Forgiveness. Purgatory is not about forgiveness of sins, so I don’t see where there is any conflict, or even that these two are relevant to each other. But I’m not talking about forgiveness of sins. Are you saying that Christ purifies are sins even if we don’t seek forgiveness? Christ purifies my sins in the Sacrament of Penance. I may have some venial sins on my soul. But when I die, there is further cleansing of my soul, for I certainly am not perfect. Only something perfect can enter heaven, hence there needs to be a cleansing process where I can pay the last penny for my sins. But I’m not talking about forgiveness of sins. Nor is Heb. 1:3.
